It's a good hotpot place for $30 you get bbq and hotpot all you can eat. It is Malaysian Chinese so the sauces are on the sweeter side which a lot of people might not like. Always order the spicy ma la not the vegetable soup. The vegetable one is extremely bland tasting. Other than that it's good. The service is prompt.

Pretty standard hot pot. Good value - no real high end ingredients, but it is all you can eat. We went around 6pm on a Wednesday - we were told it would be an hour wait(!) but it ended up being about 30 minutes. Also, they take your cell# and call you 10 minutes before you table is ready so you don't have to stand around in the lobby. Service was fast and friendly. The broth was good, although I found the Tom Yum to be a bit bland and not very spicy. The traditional broth was... Traditional. Everything we ordered was fresh and of good quality - there is a two hour seating limit, and some places with a seating limit seem to drag their feet on bringing food out, but I didn't find that to be true here. All in all, I was happy with our experience - we did not try the BBQ so I can't comment on that, but we'll be back!

The best hot pot in Manhattan. It's all you can eat with individual pots and very clean all-around. Good/fast service and you'll definitely leave full. Just avoid wearing anything nice as the steam/BBQ scent will stay with you for a while.

Good part was the food was amazing and that the older women offer water due to the heat. They also change the hotpot due to it having my allergies in it. Bad part: time limit like we only get two hours to eat from the moment we sit down and order. As well that for the hot pot they dont state what it or anything. Finally how they add the bill up and demand a tip like that it not nice or right. I work for food service but we dont demand a people to give a tip. Overall it was good experience but due to that I will give this this. Plus as well they was harass my friend who have plan it plus as well they was kind pushed. Overall hot pot was good but Customers care not so much.

This was first hotpot experience and I'm glad I chose Hometown. The restaurant is live, the decor is very cozy, and the bases are yummy! Totally changed my views on hotpot.
